6/1, 6/2, 6/4 and 6/8 - Jazz Band Auditions
Students interested in auditioning should get an audition packet from Dr. Mealey as soon as possible. Students must have a signed permission slip from parents at the audition in order to participate in the audition.
All students who participate in Jazz Band must take private lessons during the school year and participate in band during the TAAB block.

About Curtis Friends of Music
The Curtis Friends of Music is a parent-led organization dedicated to providing funding, programs, and opportunities which complement and extend the instrumental and vocal music curriculum at the Curtis Middle School. We raise funds, provide logistical support, publicize music events and advocate for a strong, vibrant program within the Curtis community.
Curtis Friends of Music provides funding for:
- Travel to competitions/performances
- MMEA Junior District Festival participation fees
- Master classes and guest artists
- Purchase of instruments/music not funded by school budget
How You Can Help Curtis Friends of Music
- Join Curtis Friends of Music
- Volunteer to help at music events
- Support music at Curtis by attending concerts
